I just posted about Metamora, Illinois (
talking specifically about Pac-Man). But it reminded of something that they served in school lunches that I have never forgotten. I have asked so many people about this, and every time they think I am kidding or making it up. So not. This was served as a dessert in the school lunches, and, as gross as it sounds, it was good. This was before the peanut allergy tsunami that has gripped our schools, but more importantly, before we actually started to notice what junk our kids where putting in their mouth. (which reminds that kids will eat the GROSSEST things, maybe I’ll post about that another time). SO TO ALL YOU HATERS OUT THERE- JUST TO PROVE I WASN’T LYING!!!- I give you the old-school cafeteria lunch statple- the peanut butter ball:

I got the picture from here (and there’s also a recipe).
So my Daily Rant is this: Who thought it was a good idea to feed kids this stuff? And then, who decided to stop?!?!
