Fact: the longest freestanding escalator in world is at the CNN headquarters in Atlanta. Another fact: This is not CNN’s escalator. But it IS in Atlanta. It is at the Peachtree Station in downtown Atlanta. All undergrounds have really long escalators (WMATA, MARTA, METRO, etc.) but this one, by my count, is almost 4 stories tall. And it makes a great picture.
