Daily Rant

Sometimes, life is full of too many choices – as this conversation pointed out to me. (My friend Jess and I)

J: How’s the daughter?

Me: Puberty is KILLING me. And it’s full of so much DRAMA, I mean about everything.

J: I bet.

Me: And then to add on all this sexual confusion. She’s bi, she’s gay…I can’t keep up. You know, I have to tell you, I think she just has too many choices. I do NOT know what I would have done had I been presented with those choices.

J: No doubt. I would have been all “You’re sticking that where?!”

Me: And how ugly is the thing?

J: Totally. I would have been like “No thanks, I’ll be gay.”

Me: Choices, man, choices are killing us.

Puberty is killing us too lol. Last week I had the conversation stating that a woman CAN NOT get pregnant by a man from swimming….even then Im not sure our daughter believed me. Her friends had been told that 5 girls had got pregnant by this one guy whilst in the same pool as him, now terrified to go swimming in case they get pregnant …ugh…and the dramas are out of this world I tell ya…so we are feeling ya pain!! Good Luck

I know! And even the smallest thing will set her off, I feel like I know what it’s like to be bomb diffuser. And bad at it, to boot.

Haven’t heard the swimming pool one in a while, ha! thanks for laugh.

I so agree. I didn’t know anything about me at 20 much less at 12. But nature does not care, sex (not the act of, but the subject of) is a part of puberty and it must be dealt with. When it comes to sexual preference, Mother Nature likes to keep ‘em guessing.

Who KNOWS what we would have done had we been given all those choices. I’m just saying.

DRAMA ALERT-I was all excited to watch Rosie(10) play softball but she lied about the start time to make sure I didn’t show up. She said Mom and Dad would fight and make her lose the game.

Holy cow, the things kids do and see and try to fix. Sometimes adults need to reminded that they are adults. Also, tweens love drama.
